Hectic schedules call for sensible shoes. Just ask Meghan Markle, who ditched her heels in favor of a fashion favorite for a busy day of meetings in Los Angeles. 

First up, the Duchess of Sussex had a lunch date with her wedding dress designer and former Givenchy creative director, Clare Waight Keller, at Cipriani Beverly Hills, and for the occasion, she served both fashion and function in a pair of fancy black ballet flats (see photos here). She teamed the practical Aquazurra shoes that featured cutout detailing on the sides and pointy toes with a black turtleneck, matching wide-leg pants, and a classic camel coat from Max Mara. A coordinating clutch tucked under her arm, black aviator sunglasses, and her sparkly three-stone engagement ring finished off her stealth-wealth outfit. 

Meghan wore her new "chocolate chestnut brunette" hair down in loose waves with a middle part while embracing the no-makeup makeup look. 

Later that same day, she stepped out for a second meeting in Studio City at the sushi restaurant Asanebo while sporting yet another pair of fashionable flats. In photos obtained by Page Six, Meghan opted for a metallic gray version with bow accents and finished off her outfit with skinny gray-wash jeans, a matching crewneck sweater, and a Goyard Bellechasse Biaude PM tote bag. Upon exiting the restaurant, she added another layer, topping off her ensemble with a black wool coat.
