GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Halloween proved to be more than just a day for tricks and treats for couples across metro Atlanta, as several courthouses transformed into spooky wedding venues for those ready to say "I Do" or rather, "I Boo."

Lynn Finch and her fiancé were one of 45 couples who felt Halloween would be the perfect backdrop for their special day.
"Personally, I thought it would be great to get married on Halloween," Lynn said with a smile. "We like dark things. I would love to tell the story to all my friends. I can't wait. We're going to have the anniversary every Halloween."
For Hallie Johns and her fiancé, it was an occasion they had been eagerly awaiting. The couple had already spent a decade together and used the event at the historic Gwinnett County Courthouse as an opportunity to get married and celebrate their favorite holiday.
"We've been together for almost 10 years," Hallie explained. "We have two kids, so it's like a pretty safe bet, I think. We're Halloween people in general, so yeah, we like Halloween."
As the newlyweds and old souls filed into the historic Gwinnett County Courthouse, they exchanged vows and rings.
The judges altered the traditional wedding ceremony to give it a spooky flair. One described marriage as "an institution that gives supernatural permanence and immortal responsibility to the relationship between two living beings."
The ceremonies concluded with a sweet treat, as a cake decorated with the inscription "until death do us part" was served.
Meanwhile, in Fulton County, Tremicia and Tyrone Quarrells experienced a quick and memorable stop before taking care of their little goblins at home.
"I mean, I'm good. I'm excited. This is finally done." Tyrone chuckled. "We have children, so life continues. We've got trick-or-treating tonight."
