Michael Rainey Jr mother Shauna Small is a director at Higher Level Talents Incorporated since 2006. Shauna also has had her own business since 2004.

She had attended the College of Staten Island to complete her Bachelor of Arts majoring in English and Psychology. For her Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, she joined the Concordia University of Portland. 

From January 2009 to now she is a basketball coach at Leagues. She has qualifications and skills in different fields including Public Speaking, Educational Leadership, Event Planning, Strategic Planning, and so on.

Shauna was born in Jamaica but immigrated to the United States as a teenager.
