NBC announced two more pickups today, both from Dick Wolf: Veteran SVU will indeed be back for a fourteenth season, and newcomer Chicago Fire will be joining the impoverished but determined NBC family. Fire stars a whole slew of familiar faces, including David “Steve from Sex and the City” Eigenberg, Jesse “Chase from House” Spencer, and Eamonn “From Everything” Walker. The show isn’t about the professional soccer team of the same name but rather about firefighters, which is probably for the best — although maybe a soccer show would be fun, who knows.
