Did NCT Jaehyun Date an American Actress?

In December 2020, rumors that NCT member Jaehyun was dating an American Netflix star started making their rounds online. The rumors began on Twitter. It alleged that an insider from Korea reported that NCT members Jaehyun, Doyoung, and Taeyong were dating. Naturally, this would lead to dating scandals.

In another tweet, a user claimed that Jaehyun was dating a famous American celebrity. They were in a long-distance relationship. The tweet further stated that the actress was recognized for her role in a popular Netflix show. The user claimed that the two had only been dating for two months.

Many were shocked by the sudden allegations and several internet users started snooping around for clues on who the mystery woman could be. But unfortunately, no one could find any factual information of Jaehyun ever being in a relationship with an American Netflix starlet.

The Twitter thread detailed Jaehyun's dating rumors. It was initially convincing, but there was no objective evidence to back up these claims. Because of that, it is hard to confirm if there is any legitimacy to the rumors. Additionally, neither SM Entertainment nor Jaehyun commented on the rumors.

This would not be the first time social media was used to spread dating rumors. Because the NCT members have large individual fan bases, many believe the rumor was shared to get likes and retweets. Currently, there is still no evidence on whether the information spread was factual.
