NFL fans have been reacting online to the way that Deshaun Watson appeared to be massaging himself after suffering a minor injury.

The Cleveland Browns were in action on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals and there was a moment where Watson was down on the ground stretching his legs and he appeared to be giving himself a massage.

Plenty of users enjoyed making light of the action on Twitter, with Watson and massages having been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons in the past.

"Deshaun Watson going through withdrawals thinking about the old days..." tweeted @B1ackSchefter.

"Deshaun Watson makes a play then wants a massage in return," added @PickensBurgh.

"Deshaun Watson got his leg straight in the air like a stripper.. begging for a massage after the game" said @bigr3d2014.

Another hinted towards the fact that Watson is a very injury-prone player.

"Deshaun Watson was just massaging his leg... You can't make this shit up, dude is fragile as hell."

What happened with Deshaun Watson?

This is not the first time that Watson has made headlines for reasons relating to massages. He once publicly stated that he worked with about 40 different massage therapists.

Between 2019 and 2021, according to the New York Times, Watson booked massage appointments with 66 different women.

He was then sued by 24 massage therapists for alleged sexual misconduct. He has been able to settle all but one of the lawsuits against him.

The good news for Watson is that he looked like a much-improved player against the Bengals compared to last week against the Houston Texans, even though they lost 23-10 to last year's Super Bowl runners-up.

"There's things that they're learning that I like in certain situations, same thing with me in certain situations," he said of how he is gelling with the offence.

"This is a process and we've got to keep going together and sticking together and keep pushing forward."
