Oliver Jacobs's Football Recruiting Profile
Sophia Dalton Personal Statement
I am a junior at the Branson School in Ross, California. Branson launched its first 8-man football team this year and although we were a new team, we achieved an undefeated season and finished ranked eighth in the state of California. Playing this year gave me a passion for the game and I would love to continue playing at the next level.
I play left tackle on offense and nose guard on defense. As a player, I believe my best qualities are my leadership, passion for the game and work ethic. I was selected as one of the team captains and take the role very seriously. I see my role as someone who supports, motivates and inspires my teammates to achieve their full potential. I also spearheaded the two-year effort to start the football program at Branson, which led to me winning the Branson Athletic Leadership Award last year. In the offseason, I have religiously worked with our strength and conditioning coach to improve my athleticism, flexibility and strength.
Other than football, I play basketball and throw the shot put and discus for the track and field team. I was the captain of my JV basketball team last year and played varsity basketball this year. I have had success in shot put and discus, qualifying for the league championships my Freshman, Sophmore and Junior seasons. Placing second in discus at the county meet my junior year and qualifying for the sectional championships. Outside of sports, I have a 3.48 GPA and have engaged in extra-curricular activities including the Branson Fishing Club, which I founded in my sophomore year.
I look forward to starting a discussion with you and your staff to see whether or not I would be a good fit at your school. Thank you for taking the time to look at my recruiting page.
