Owen Van Natta is a well-known American entrepreneur with a net worth of $400 million. He became famous for his role as the COO of Facebook and for holding senior positions at Amazon, MySpace, and Zynga.
Before becoming a successful entrepreneur, Van Natta worked at Amazon from 1998 to 2005, where he eventually became the Vice President of Worldwide Business and Corporate Development. In 2005, he was hired as the Chief Operating Officer of Facebook, where he served until 2008. He left Facebook as the Chief Revenue Officer.
After Facebook, Van Natta joined MySpace, where he oversaw the company’s successful transformation from a social networking site to a personalized media site focused on music. In 2009, MySpace’s parent company Fox Interactive Media generated $226 million in revenue and $7 million in profits, mostly attributed to MySpace.
In 2010, Van Natta joined Zynga, a company that had found success in the new field of online social networking games. Although Zynga faced accusations of spamming and producing low-quality content, its Facebook games like FarmVille were incredibly popular. Van Natta resigned from Zynga in November 2011.
After leaving Zynga, Van Natta founded his own investment vehicle, 415 LLC, in 2013. In 2019, he founded Prefix Capital.
