Gerard Pique has spent a week riding the wave of anger that Shakira threw at him in her viral and controversial collaboration with Bizarrap, Music Sessions Vol.53, using the Kings League showcase to do so.

On last Friday's 'Chup Chup', a talk show in which the league's presidents participate, the former Barcelona player handed out Casio watches to announce the sponsorship agreement he had reached with the Japanese brand.

Among other references to the fashionable accessory, Pique also announced that this Sunday he would go to the port of Barcelona in a Twingo, after reaching a personal sponsorship agreement with Renault.

Whether this was a joke or whether he was serious was up in the air... but the Kings League CEO doesn't take like too seriously and is not afraid to get into as many controversies as he can.

Come Sunday, the third matchday of the league, and Pique kept his word by being seen behind the wheel of a Renault Twingo fresh off the dealership forecourt.
