Rhys Hoskins's parents are Paul Hoskins and Cathy Hoskins. The Hoskins family hails from Sacramento, California, United States. 

The Hoskins couple also gave birth to their first child Rhys in Sacramento.

Both his father and mothers were lawyers. His father, Paul, taught him how to play baseball. Paul realized that his son had something in him. He was still a toddler who was yet to celebrate his second birthday.

According to Sacramento Bee, the elder Hoskins fondly recalled how his son had a plastic Wiffle ball bat and had just tapped on the ground and assumed a batting stance one day.

Amused by his son's action, he tossed the ball to him and then worked hard as he asked what are you going to do to his son.

When asked about the humble personality of his son, Paul said that his son is an old soul. The more senior Hoskins said his son was 25 years old.

He shares an extraordinary bond with his mother. Sadly, Cathy passed away on March 12, 2009. She battled cancer for 14 long years before she ultimately passed away.

Rhys lost his mother a few days before he turned 16. The demise of his mother five days before he celebrated his sixteenth birthday has had a significant role in shaping his life.

He always spends his mother's day playing baseball in memory of his mother. His life motto is to keep living, which he got from his mother.  He wants to make the most of his life, on and off the baseball field, no matter the circumstances.
