Get involved in one of the biggest sports at Newcastle and within HE

One of the University’s biggest sports and certainly the most high profile sport within the HE sector Newcastle University Rugby Union Football Club caters for all abilities.

There are 5 men’s BUCS teams and a development side with the 1^st team pushing for a place in the BUCS Super rugby league. Within the women’s club that host over 80 playing members there are two teams both competing in BUCS

The infrastructure in place for rugby union is as good as any in the country and there is an official partnership in place with the Newcastle Falcons to ensure those at the highest level have the pathway to push on to the professional game.
