Ryann Shane was born on 5th July 1993 and grew up in Philadelphia with her family. While growing up, she tied a very deep bond with her father and currently she lives in New York. She’d always thought of being an actress from a younger age. She made her acting debut in 2004, in a short film called Superstore. Shane starred alongside Ryan Reynolds in the 2008 film Definitely, Maybe. In the 2011 series Lights Out, she plays the daughter of an ex-boxer with dementia. Shane was cast as Deva Hopewell, Carrie, and Gordon Hopewell’s rebellious adolescent daughter, in the Cinemax program Banshee in 2012. From 2013 through 2016, the show aired for four seasons. In 2017, she starred in Story of a Girl as Deanna Lambert, a teen whose sex tape with an older boy rendered her a social outcast. Sara Zarr, the author of the novel that inspired the film, visited with Shane and complimented her on her performance. Shane was chosen from hundreds of other actresses for the role.
