Daniel Foster The Los Angeles Rams have a more stable quarterback room than the Raiders with Matthew Stafford, but he is 36 years old. What's more, Stetson Bennett is the backup for now but didn't appear in a single game during the 2023 campaign.
It wouldn't be a shock if the Rams drafted a rookie in the later rounds and allowed him to compete for the backup role behind the veteran.
Hartman has the talent to potentially win that role.
The 24-year-old started his collegiate career in the ACC at Wake Forest and threw for 4,228 yards in 2021 and 3,701 yards in 2022. Finding that version of himself would help at the next level, as his numbers dipped some in his one season at Notre Dame when he completed 63.5 percent of his passes for 2,689 yards, 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
Still, either he or Travis could learn under Stafford for multiple seasons and potentially carve out a role as a trusted backup for a Rams team looking to return to the playoffs for the fourth time in five years.
