Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola returning to Jersey Shore after all these years is everything fans could’ve hoped and dreamed of. The MTV star was a part of the show’s original cast and rose to reality TV fame in 2009. Over a decade later, she’s back on our screens, and this season, fans cana’t expect to see more of her partner, Justin May, on Family Vacation.

Last season, Sammi introduced her Jersey Shore family to her new boyfriend, Justin. Now, Justin’s joining Family Vacation as a recurring cast member and fans are convinced he’s the spitting image of her ex-boyfriend, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.

Joining Jersey Shore Family Vacation could be intimidating for some, but Justin took it in his stride last season.

Now, the 35-year-old former bartender and bouncer is returning to the show as a recurring cast member.

Justin hails from Tom’s River, New Jersey, and previously worked at a favorite club of the family’s, Karma.

‘Sammi likes Jersey guys’

Last season, Pauly D and Vinnie Guadagnino prepared to meet Justin and said Sammie “likes Jersey guys. Like, she’s like a Jersey girl.”

Vinnie, who “fully expected” Justin “not to like him,” said: “Based on her last relationship that we know of, I will say that Sammi has a type.”

Sammi was previously in a relationship with Ronnie for around seven years. And, both her co-stars and fans can see a serious likeness between her ex and her current beau.

One fan took to X (Twitter) to write: “Why does Sammi Sweetheart’s boyfriend look exactly like Ronnie..?”

Justin is ‘chilled’

Judging by Justin’s Jersey Shore debut last season, he and Sammi appear to be madly in love.

Speaking of her boo, she said: “I just love him so much,” adding: “What’s cool about him is he’s so chill…”

However, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows for Sammi as she rejoins the MTV show. Speaking exclusively to E! News, she explained what it was like reuniting with her ex, Ronnie, on screen.

“I, of course, was not fond of filming with an ex-boyfriend… You’re gonna see me basically navigate that, and you’re gonna see it all play out. But of course, I knew eventually that this would happen. And you’re gonna just see, I guess, my reaction—how it all plays out.”
