Scott Jacobs: American Photorealist Painter

Scott Jacobs is a renowned American painter who is known for his photorealistic artwork of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He was discovered by Harley-Davidson and became their official licensed motorcycle artist. Jacobs has mastered a multitude of genres in his twenty-year career, and his modern art depictions have found their way to major art collections worldwide, including those of numerous celebrity clients.

Jacobs started his career by working for an art gallery as a teen and went on to sell art out of a van. At 19, he purchased an art gallery at below market value and was an art dealer for 25 years. In 1989, his wife Sharon gave him an easel, canvases and paints as a Christmas gift. Jacobs began painting and displaying his work in his own galleries under the name Escotete. He concentrated on creating work in a photorealistic style when he received positive feedback for that style of his work.

In 1993, Harley-Davidson saw Jacobs’ work and signed him as their first officially licensed artist in its fine art program, a position he still holds. Jacobs offers an abundance of selections for canvas paintings, including biker art, car art, lifestyle art, bar art, and game-room art in a contemporary art style.

With a net worth of $1 million dollars, Jacobs has made a name for himself in the American fine art culture, and his photorealistic paintings are highly sought after by art collectors worldwide.
