Sexyy Red Arrested for Airport Fight on Video Before WWE NXT Battleground Appearance | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors
Sarah Rodriguez Prior to her appearance at WWE NXT Battleground last Sunday, rap artist Sexyy Red was allegedly involved in a fight in an airport that led to her arrest.
Per TMZ, Red was taken into custody early Saturday morning for what police say was her involvement in a brawl that broke out between people she was with and another group at Newark Liberty International Airport. Surveillance footage appears to show her wielding a stand that was on the ground:

The Port Authority told TMZ that Red was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct, while others were booked on assault charges. The alleged victims were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Red appeared to address the situation on social media, as TMZ noted that she posted that she "just got out" and later offered to replace the phones for the people she got into the "altercation" with at the airport.
After declaring her WWE fandom on social media, Red made her first appearance on the May 28 episode of WWE NXT. The company enjoyed having her so much that she was dubbed the host of the NXT Battleground premium live event.
Red appeared in multiple segments throughout Sunday's show. She congratulated the newly crowned NXT Women's North American Champion Kelani Jordan and danced with Lola Vice after her win over Shayna Baszler. She celebrated with NXT Champion Trick Williams after his win over Ethan Page in the main event, and she also appeared in a backstage segment with WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels and TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace.

It's uncertain if Red's arrest will have any impact on future appearances in WWE, but it's clear that the company enjoyed having her around.
