Shane Carwin is a professional American mixed martial artist who has a net worth of $4 million. He was born on January 4, 1975 in Greeley, Colorado, and grew up with his two brothers under the care of their mother. Carwin holds two bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Technology from Western State College and Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.

Carwin made his debut in the UFC on the undercard of UFC 84 against Christian Wellisch, which he won with a knockout punch in the first round. He went on to become the UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion before suffering his first career loss against then-champion Brock Lesnar at UFC 116.
