Stephen Acosta's Football Recruiting Profile
Ava Arnold Personal Statement
I am an offensive guard for the Clovis Wildcats (class of 2019), I also play defensive tackle, nose guard and offensive tackle. This football season, I am rotating between right and left guard, both tackle positions and center. This has given me the opportunity to learn plays from all positions on the offensive line while improving my technique and versatility. I am always working on improving my strength, agility and technique to be able to best represent my team and myself. I am extremely coachable. I am very aware and respectful of the time and effort of those who invest into me. In return, you will not find a harder working, dedicated player.
I strive for excellence both on and off the field. I have a 3.9 G.P.A., I am a member of the National Honor Society, with aspirations of obtaining a higher education while playing collegiate football. I would like to find a school that will challenge me both in the classroom and on the field. I understand that playing football in college is an opportunity that will change my life. I will get an education, the opportunity to be a role model to my siblings, teammates, and peers. It is an opportunity for me to become a lifelong representative of my school and further allow me to be able to give back to my community.
As my final year of High School football wraps up I have been very blessed. I was able to lead my team as a captain. I was very honored to 2nd Team Al State Offensive Linemen, 1st Team 5/6A All District Offensive Line, All District Academic Team 2018-1019, 2nd Team All District Defensive line, South All Star Team (North vs South All Star Game), New Mexico OL of the year candidate, 2018 All USA New Mexico Football Team-Ol. I am very humble to receive the Grey Grant Memorial Trophy, this is the top honor given to a wildcat based on character, leadership, academics, athleticism, and work ethic.
My current max outs are bench 335 lbs, squat 435 lbs, hex bar deadlift 635 lbs, and hang clean is 300 lbs.
I take nothing for granted and understand the meaning of respect, hard work and perseverance. Being part of a team that works together in achieving goals is my desire in my personal, academic and football life.
