The 1000-lb Sisters star first showed off her rock chick look on Instagram at the beginning of December 2023, with a new pixie cut. She says that she got it cut just under a year ago, revealing that her hair has “already grown through so much.”

Tammy showed off her new hair cut on social media, revealing the back to show that there’s a lot more of it than can be seen from the front. She often has it tied up with her fringe framing her face.
“I don’t like my hair in my face, I keep it brushed out of my face but it is what it is. It’s a work in progress. It’s not perfect like I want it to be but it’s a start,” Tammy revealed in a TikTok video.
Tammy isn’t just on a hair journey but is also continuing her health journey. She told fans that she usually drinks water now rather than the eight to 12 sodas she used to have before her transformation.
Slaton’s weight loss surgery
Tammy Slaton revealed that her weight loss surgery has had profound effects on her hair growth. She told followers on TikTok, “If you’re watching 1000-lb Sisters season 4 part b, you’ll see I had red curly hair.”
“That was this past February. It ain’t even been a year. My hair has actually grown in so much. So the surgery has actually done wonderful for my hair,” Tammy added in the video.
She also added that the surgery has helped her “body and health,” before smiling. Tammy added: “I’m proud of myself, I’m proud of my hair, and it’s not like, super short.”
1000-lb Sisters fans ‘love’ her hair
Fans who have watched Tammy grow in confidence are loving her new look. Many are complimenting her new hair cut on social media. In fact, Tammy replied to one fan who shared their honest opinion.
The fan said: “Your hair now is my favorite. Super cute color and style.” Another penned on her Instagram page: “You look amazing! I love the hair color. Way to go Tammy.”
