Taylor Rowe's Women's Track Recruiting Profile
James Holden Personal Statement
I am a state champion track athlete in Casper, Wyoming. Running track is the sport I want to pursue in my college career. I’ve been dedicated to my training competing at the varsity level, motivated in growing mentally and physically, and always trying my best in school, on the court, or on the track. I would like the opportunities to be mentored by coaches who will strengthen and challenge me in my sprinting and college programs.
As a freshman, I ran in our team’s 4x100 Relay. We placed 1st both at Regionals and State “Best of the Best” (Class 4A). I earned Track and Field All-Conference and All-State Awards. My sophomore year I placed 1st in the 100m and 3rd in the 200m at Regionals, and at State Championships, I ran 4th in the 100m, 2nd in the 200m, and 2nd in the 4x100 Relay. I was awarded All-Conference and All-State for my accomplishments this track season as well. My marks for the 2017-2018 year have placed me overall in the Wyoming 4A Class (East and West) Track and Field Rankings as 2nd in the 100 METERS and 7th in the 200 METERS.
Currently, at the 2019 4A West Regional Track Meet, I placed 1st in the 100M, 1st in the 200M, 3rd in the Sprint Medley Relay and 1st in the 4x100M Relay where we were awarded All-Conference Honors! My team and I were very motivated and determined at 4A State Track! At the conclusion of my junior season, we ran 8th in the Sprint Medley Relay and 2nd in the 4x100MR, and I placed 1st in the 100M and 1st in the 200M with Best of the Best All-State Awards in both races!
I truly love all that there is about being out on the track! I enjoy the competition, the energy of being part of a team, and I’m counting down the months until the start of track season as a senior at Kelly Walsh High School.
