Following the tragic death of 23-year-old Ana Clara Benevides Machado at a Taylor Swift concert in Rio de Janeiro, the famous singer invited Machado's family and friends to join her at the Sao Paulo performance.

Machado fainted in the front row of Swift's concert, experiencing resuscitation at the stadium for about 40 minutes. She passed away due to cardiac arrest amid a heatwave, with temperatures reaching 59.3 Celsius or 138.7 Fahrenheit.

A tragic incident

Swift postponed another Rio show and returned to Brazil to perform in Sao Paolo, where she met with Machado's family and friends, posing for photos with them.

Concert organizers faced criticism for banning water bottles, resulting in over 1,000 fans fainting. Machado's family seeks clarification on water restrictions.

Swift stopped her show multiple times to request water for fans. She announced the cancellation of her second scheduled gig in response to the incident.

"I can't believe I'm writing these words, but it's with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show," Swift wrote on Instagram.

"I can't even tell you how devastated I am by this. There's very little information I have other than the fact she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young.

"I'm not going to be able to speak about this from the stage because I feel overwhelmed by grief when I even try to talk about it.

"I want to say now I feel this loss deeply and my heart goes out to her family and friends.

"This is the last thing I ever thought would happen when we decided to bring this tour to Brazil."
