Ted Cruz's 14-year old daughter rushed to hospital with 'self-inflicted wounds'
Ava Arnold Local authorities and medical responders made their way on Tuesday night to Senator Ted Cruz's home in the River Oaks area of Houston. They were called in after a 14-year-old girl at the property suffered from self-inflicted stab wounds to her arms.
Ted Cruz has two daughters: Caroline (14) and Catherine (11). Reports trickling in from the scene are insinuating it to be the former in a possible suicide attempt.
Senator Cruz is currently in Washington DC and at this time it is unclear if he will be flying back home to Houston to tend to the family emergency.

A family representative told The Daily Beast: "This is a family matter, and thankfully their daughter is okay." Adding as well that "there were no serious injuries."
Caroline Cruz is on TikTok and disagrees with her father's political views
Caroline Cruz went viral in early 2022 thanks to a TikTok post in which she answered followers questions regarding what it's like be a the daughter of a Senator and being in the public eye.
In the TikTok video she explained she disagrees with her father's stances on "almost everything" and complained about her lack of privacy: "I literally have to have security following me everywhere."
The elder Cruz daughter also complained that they photoshopped her family's Christmas card to make her top appear longer than what it was. She also expressed her displeasure at being judged due to who her father is.
