We tapped brand founders and scoured the internet for insights to curate our list of what the who's who of festival-goers will be wearing. Plus, we found out what shoppers are searching for in order to really hone in on the top trends of the season. You'll see some familiar festival favorites down below, including western wear, itty-bitty skirt sets, and rhinestones galore, along with some of spring's biggest trends reimagined and set to a festival scale, including crochet and retro glam.

Western Barbiecore

Google Trends has spoken and "pink cowgirl outfit" is the most-searched Coachella outfit of the year. Coastal cowgirl, this trend is not. Instead, it's all about super-saturated pink, embellishments, and the kind of flashy cowboy boots you can dance your butt off and run between stages in. To put together a pink cowgirl festival outfit of your own, lean into the extra of it all and be sure to have at least one statement piece.

Crochet Sets

One of the top 10 trending festival looks, according to Google Trends, is a crochet set — and we're not surprised. After all, crochet has been huge this spring and will only continue to trend into summer. That said, we are delighted simply because crochet is so versatile. You can go sultry with a midi set in a wide knit, or take a sportier approach with a shorts and crop set in a closer knit.

Mesh Dresses

Another most lusted-after festival look, per Google Trends, is the mesh dress. You can go for a beachy open knit or opt for something a bit more sparkling like a rhinestone-studded micro-mail.

'70s Glam

While we've all been watching Y2K fashion return with a vengeance, another decade has slowly been gaining mainstream momentum: the '70s. Celebrities were spotted at the first weekend of Coachella in flower child wide-leg pants, embellished belts, and crochet cut-out tops. Pick a single style or go all out by embracing three or four at once.

Cowboy Boots

Ultra-Distressed Shorts

"Denim and crystals are trend heaven this season. The more distressed, the better," says Robin Chretien. When shopping, Chretien recommends looking for shorts that feature "embellishments and rips that give an authentic vintage feel."

Barely There Pastels

Festival season is known for being about showing skin, but this year, the barely there maxi dresses are softened by shades of bubblegum pink and periwinkle. For a truly leveled-up look, match the shorts, bra, or bodysuit worn below your top layer.

Ultra-Low-Rise Jeans

While many Millennials still wake up sweating from nightmares of low-rise jeans, the super low-rise jeans of this year's festival season have a few styling saving graces. Plus, the distressed and embroidered details are more akin to '90s than Y2K styling.
