Whenever I try to be romantic with someone, it always feels fake to me.

I think it's because I try wayyyyyy too hard to be flirty or spontaneous when I'm really not that person in all. In reality, my idea of romance is being able to spend time with someone (no matter what it is that we do together) who is both my best friend and my lover.

I'd like to say that I have simple tastes and that a night on the couch holding hands and watching bad movies is enough, but I do like doing crazy things you only ever have the money for maybe once a month.

My point is, romance to me is about being myself and doing things that I think is thoughtful and lovely and fun; NOT what everyone tells you is supposed to be romantic.

If you can't already tell, I am most definitely an Aquarius - AKA someone who hates doing what everyone else is doing.

Everyone does romance differently. Some people like to shower their significant other in gifts while others like to shower their significant other in kisses.

There's no right and wrong way to do romance.
