Shakira is at the top of the music industry, and although this should not be news given her successful career, there are different reasons why her latest songs are going viral.

After ending her 10-year relationship with Gerard Pique, Shakira decided to release a few songs through which she aims digs at the former Barcelona star. Her latest hits 'Te felicito', 'Monotonia', 'BZRP Music Session #5' and 'TQC' all have clear references to Pique.

However, she hasn't always struggled with her partners, as former boyfriend Osvaldo Rios has claimed that he maintained a great relationship with Shakira.

"We had a very beautiful relationship that I value and will value all my life," Rios noted.

"She wrote me songs that still move me every time I hear them. I wrote her poetry. I hope she has saved the book I wrote for her. I wrote her poems and she wrote songs.

"Thanks to the Internet, now you can go to YouTube and listen to it yourself. In all the interviews she speaks wonders of me."

Talking to Toni Costa, Rios revealed more details about how they ended his relationship with Shakira.

"She was just starting with 'Pies descalzos' and she had a whole world to live in," Rios added.

"When you love someone, it's better to set them free and it's the best proof of love you can give them. She had to fly, it was the best thing that happened to her, but she had to do it without me."
