Todd Gurley Injury: Updates on Rams RB's Knee and Return | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors
Carter Sullivan St. Louis Rams running back Todd Gurley has recovered from the torn ACL he suffered at Georgia last November, which caused him to miss the entire preseason and the first two weeks of the regular season, and he will make his NFL debut on Sunday, per Myles Simmons of StLouisRams.com.

The running back couldn't contain his excitement, tweeting, "It's Gameday Yessirr!!" prior to kickoff.
Fisher said on Sept. 21 that the Rams have a plan in place for Gurley's use, but he would not elaborate on what it entailed, via ESPN's Nick Wagoner.
On Sept. 20, Schefter reported the Rams "always have targeted Week 3...as an ideal time for Gurley to debut." Rapoport originally reported Sept. 8 that Gurley was expected to miss the first three games of the season.
Although his knee was a red flag entering the 2015 draft, Gurley remained a top target for the Rams, who selected him No. 10 overall.
With the power and the explosion necessary to operate as the centerpiece of St. Louis' evolving offense, Gurley has the makings of a bell-cow back once he's at full strength and slotted in as the full-time starter in the Rams backfield.
"I can do everything," Gurley said when asked about his limitations after his initial return to practice, per Simmons on Sept 6. "The beanie's off, so I’m good." Simmons continued:
The "beanie" Gurley's referring to is the yellow non-contact cap both he and wide receiver Brian Quick sported in training camp. The running back said coaches allowed him to take it off last week.
Even though he will be able to practice with contact, Gurley said he's not disappointed he won't be on the field to start the season.
"I definitely would want to be playing, but I know it's going to be a long journey," Gurley said. "You have to be patient and when the time comes it comes. I'll be ready for it."
"I've been waiting this long, so why not wait a couple more weeks or so?" he added.
"Right now, we're not pushing anything," Gurley said Aug. 11 about making his NFL debut, per Alex Marvez and Gil Brandt of SiriusXM NFL Radio, via FoxSports.com. "It's kind of taking it day by day and week by week. Whether it's Week 5 or Week 1, 10 years from now nobody is going to remember what you did the first five games. You've just got to take it easy."
