Megan Rapinoe, a true flag bearer of the American women soccer team, the winner of FIFA world cup 2019 and also the recipient of Ballon d’Or Féminin 2019 has always been a great human being because of her presence in beyond sports events. She is one of the sportswomen who always raised her voice for equal pay, against police brutality and several other social activities. 

She is the current captain of US Women National Soccer team and OL reign (NWSL), last November she published  her own autobiography “One Life”, in that book she revealed many untold truths and described many unknown events of her life. What happened between Megan Rapinoe and ex-HC Jill Ellis?

That unwanted event took place on 15th september 2016 when USWNT was playing against Thailan in Columbus, Ohio, when the players were singing US national anthem the US soccer legend Megan kneeled down to show solidarity with protest against police brutality. 

Though she was doing that protest for quite a few times but on that match Jill Hills didn’t take the behavior easily, Jill Hills subbed her within a few minutes of the game ,even she told her that Megan would not be part of the team for next few games. Besides, Jill Hills didn’t allow Megan to be a part of the practice sessions.

Though the team sealed a huge victory against Thailand but the relationship between the captain and coach became sour, remembering those events Megan Rapinoe described her ex-HC’s behavior in her book as “Such Utter, Evasive Bullsh*t”.

Though Jills helped the team to win two FIFA women world cup but fans didn’t accept her intolerant behavior easily, one fan said she couldn’t ever be players favorite coach, one even claimed that she is not a good coach at all while questioning her sports sense, some fans criticized the people as they have ignored these events because the team was winning.
