Vivek Ramaswamy parents Vivek Ganapathy and Geetha Ramaswamy migrated to the US from Kerela, India.

His father often referred to as V.G. Ramaswamy graduated from a regional institution in Kerela, India, with an electrical engineering degree before moving to the United States of America. It is unclear when the family migrated but they might have gone to America in the 1980s. 

His mother Geetha Ramaswamy studied at Mysore Medical College in Mysur, Karnataka, India before moving to the states. His father worked at General Electric Plant in Evendale, Ohio upon arrival in the United States of America while his mother worked as a geriatric psychiatrist in Cincinnati, Ohio. 

Apart from his parents, Vivek also has a brother named Shankar Ramaswamy in his family. His brother Shankar is the Co-Founder and CEO of Kriya Therapeutics. The siblings worked together in Roivant Sciences.

Ramaswamy has not shared the latest whereabouts of his father and mother with the general public yet. They have remained fairly away from the spotlight and do not make many public appearances. 

Vivek's father-in-law Ashutosh Tewari is a leading urological surgeon. Tewari has successfully performed over 10k robotically assisted surgeries with da Vinci Surgical Systems, according to his Wikipedia profile. Ashutosh also chairs the Icahn School of Medicine in New York City.

Vivek Ramaswamy religion is Hindu. He was born to Hindu parents and was the sole kid to follow the religion in his catholic school when growing up, reports AEI.

Furthermore, according to The Information, he was brought up in a steep and conservative Hindu tradition by his parents.
