John Legend has had an impressive career in entertainment, thus far allowing him to amass a net worth of $100 million along with his wife, Chrissy Teigen.

His fourth album, ‘Love in the Future’ was released in 2013, peaking at number four on the US Billboard 200 chart and selling an impressive 68,000 copies within the first week. 

In 2015 Legends won an Oscar for ‘Glory’ which he co wrote with Lonnie Rashid Lynn (aka Common) for ‘Selma’. His latest album “Darkness and Light” was released in 2016 along with acting performances alongside Ryan Gosling in the Oscar-winning ‘La La Land’. Real Estate

John Legend and Chrissy Teaigen have certainly made their mark on the Beverly Hills real estate market. In January 2016, they purchased what was previously Rihanna’s house for $14.1 million and immediately set out to improve the structure of the property and fix any problems it may have had. 

After experiencing problems, such as flooding from even a mild rain, Rihanna sold the home in 2012,

for $5.2 million – a stark contrast compared to how much John and Chrissy were able to redeem after listing it for sale this year for $22 million and accepting an offer of $16.8 million shortly afterwards. 

From a sprawling mansion in Beverly Hills to a modern contemporary house in West Hollywood just last April, this dynamic couple has proved they know what they’re doing when it comes to real estate investments – making sure each move is worth their while.

John and Chrissy were savvy real estate investors, taking advantage of the market to acquire two adjoining luxury apartments in New York City. 

They bought the first apartment in May 2018 for slightly over $9 million, and the second in April 2020 for $8 million. Years later,

they placed the duplex on the real estate market for a total of $18 million in January 2022. John and Chrissy were able to double their investment through their carefully planned acquisition and renovation of these two apartments.
