Who Is Addie Andrews? New Details On Former Mormon Missionary Turned Porn Star And Penthouse Pet
James Holden In 1997, South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker released a film called Orgazmo. In it, a naive Mormon missionary is enticed into starring in porn films as an erotic superhero named Orgazmo who incapacitates bad guys with a special gun that causes instant orgasms.
In a situation of life imitating art, Addie Andrews was a devout Mormon before she became an adult film sensation. She doesn't have an Orgazmanator gun, however. That's still fiction.
But Andrews is very real and she has over 75,000 Instagram followers, a devoted following on paid porn sites and was even the Penthouse Pet of the Month in June. In a new interview with the New York Post, Andrews is sharing her memories of growing up as a devout Mormon who rejected sex outside of marriage and adhered to strict standards for modest dressing. But when she moved to LA to try her hand at acting, she found her true path to happiness was in the adult entertainment industry. She began working as an exotic dancer and moved into adult films. Now even her family says this is the happiest they have ever seen her.

1. Addie's early years
Addie tells the New York Post that she grew up in the Pacific Northwest where her parents expected all the kids in her family to follow a religious path. They didn't insist on a particular denomination however, so Addie found herself joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saint, something no one else in her family had ever done. She told Penthouse that she chose the church because they were so nice to her. "I was in a rough spot and they were so kind. The church took me in," she recalls. "I adopted a family and a religion along with it. I needed the stability. It was a great decision at that age."

2. A devout Mormon
Addie stuck closely to the rules of her new church. At 18, she went on a mission where she proselytized, hoping to convert people to her faith. She also followed the very strict rules about premarital sex. While she says she had had sex once before joining the church, she did not do it again for years after becoming a Mormon. “The problem is not just that premarital sex is denied but that they make it out to be a very serious sin and shameful thing to do,” says Andrews. She even sacrificed the opportunity to be a bridesmaid in her own sister's wedding because the dress was not modest enough. She says that being excluded from a family moment like that made her reconsider the church.
3. Selling real estate
She stayed with the LDS church for a long time, despite the prohibitions on sex and strict modesty standards. She went to college at Brigham Young University in Utah and after that worked in Salt Lake City and became a real estate agent. "I got my license with Century 21, then moved over to Richmond American homes. After two years, I was becoming very successful," she told Penthouse. "I remember my first big accomplishment. I sold this family their house. It wasn’t so much about the money, but knowing that I had just got them into the home they would raise their family in. I was still so new, so I had to pass the sale off to be completed, but I got them to that point, and it was so exciting."

4. Dreaming of performing
But selling houses wasn't what Andrews wanted to do for the rest of her life. As a child, she had loved performing. "I remember being in my first play when I was really little, probably 9-years-old, and in the play, I had a moment on stage alone. I made the audience laugh and I got the biggest thrill. I was hooked," she recalled. But she had set that aside to do her missionary work and school. After a couple of years of selling real estate, she says she decided to go to LA to pursue her dreams of acting.

5. An exotic dancing career
Andrews had already stopped attending church before she went to Hollywood in 2017. She was just rediscovering her sexual side when she got there. She said that aspect of her life had been on hold while she was a practicing Mormon. “I was very sexually repressed,” she says. “You’re essentially a nun, devoted to your religion for that period of time.” At 26, she started having sex for the first time since she was 17 years old. She also started working as an exotic dancer. She wasn't having a lot of luck breaking into mainstream acting and even finding a day job was hard so she tried dancing to see how she would like it. It turns out, she really enjoyed the work.
6. Social media to adult films
In addition to her on-stage work, Andrews started social media accounts to promote herself and she caught the eye of porn producers. At the beginning of 2019, she got an agent and started working in adult films as a performer. She says she knew it would shock her family but they have been supportive. “My brother said, ‘I will definitely never watch your porn, but you seem happier than ever, so I support your decision,'” she says.
7. Comfortable with herself
Now that she's a rising star in her industry, Andrews feels good about her choices and where she's going now. She told Penthouse that entering the industry as an adult has given her perspective she might not have had when she was younger. "You are so wishy-washy when you are young, and you absorb everyone else’s opinions instead of formulating your own," she says. "There are always going to be people, especially on social media, who want to tear you down, and that has a bigger impact the younger you are. It’s hard to deal with, but I know who I am. No one has the ability to bring me down unless I give them that power."
