Daniel Foster As Bargain Hunt favourite Thomas Plant changed his name publicly to Thomas Forrester, many viewers questioned why.
The auctioneer and TV presenter never addressed the name change and so we did some digging. Earlier this year, we found the leading theory which was that Thomas had married a woman with the surname Forrester. Now, this has not been confirmed by Thomas Plant, but he has been linked to Jessica Forrester, an auctioneer who works with Thomas.

Who is Jessica Forrester?
Jessica Forrester works for Special Auction Services as an auctioneer and auction manager. She joined the team at SAS in early 2017 and has worked her way up through the team since then. Besides her auctioneering role, Jessica is also in charge of the HR and staffing for the firm.
Before joining Thomas’s team, Jessica had ten years of working in the industry. Notably, she was the auctioneer and valuer at Richard Winterton Auctioneers in Staffordshire and in charge of the quarterly Country House and Decorative Art sales.
Jessica has a Masters degree in Arts Market Appraisal and is a Fellow of the National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers.

Are Jessica and Thomas Forrester married?
Unconfirmed.
We know for certain that Thomas Forrester is married as in a Newbury Today article on the auctioneer, they mention that he “lives locally with his wife.”
Given that Thomas lives and works in Newbury, Berkshire where Jessica Forrester also lives and works, there is a strong chance that the two are married.
When the Special Auction Services Twitter account responded to a question on Thomas Plant’s name change to Forrester, they told the person: “You can ask him yourself, he’ll be delighted to tell you.” Now, that definitely sounds like positive news to us!
