On August 2, 2006, Robert Wone, a 32-year-old lawyer, was assassinated in Washington, DC, while visiting his friends Joe Price, Victor Zaborsky, and Dylan Ward. 

There were no indications of a forced entrance when he was discovered dead from stab wounds in a guest bedroom. He had previously resided in the Virginia suburb of Oakton.

The authorities suspected he had been s*xually assaulted, restrained, and incapacitated at his death. 

Victor Zaborsky and Dylan Ward, two of Wone’s acquaintances who shared a residence with him, assert that they were not aware of the murder of Robert Wone, but neither the police nor the trial judge believed them. 

Later, it was officially reported that Robert Wone had died due to the knife wounds he had received. The police had been looking into his murder for a while and had done their utmost to discover evidence and clues, but they had been unsuccessful. 

The Metropolitan Police Department claimed that the crime scene had been altered, but no charges were brought for more than two years.

Two years later, the police had charged Price, Zaborsky, and Ward—friends of Wone—with conspiracy and abstraction of justice in connection with alleged tampering with the crime scene.

Robert Eric Wone was known as a Chinese American who was born on June 1, 974, in Manhattan.

At the time of his death, he was 32 years old.

He spent his earlier days in Brooklyn, New York, and completed his education at Xaverian High school. 

Later he attended the College of William & Mary as a James Monroe Scholar Where Wone Met Joseph Price, in his academic year during 1992-1993.

Wone and Price participated in numerous activities in their academic years, such as honor society and student government leadership, before graduating. 

Wone graduated from William & Mary in the year of 1996. Later he joined the University of Pennsylvania Law School, earning a Juris Doctor with an honors degree in 1999. 

After he graduated, Wone worked as a Law Clerk to Judge Raymond A. Jackson of the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Later, Wone served his duty in commercial real estate law for six years as an attorney with the Washington, D.C. law firm of Covington & Burling.

He worked as a general counsel for the organization of Chinese Americans(OCA) as a part of his public service responsibilities as a worker in a law firm. He was known as a very active member of Asian American community. 

When he was alive, he supported numerous organizations, such as OCA and the Museum of Chinese in America.

Before his death, he was elected president of the Asian-Pacific American Bar Association.

Furthermore, he married Katherine Ellen Yu on June 7, 2003, and they lived in Fairfax County, Virginia. After three years of his marriage, he was brutally killed by a mysterious killer.
