Who is Rasheed Belhasa?
Rasheed Belhasa is the 16-year-old son of UAE construction tycoon, Saif Ahmed Belhasa.
He owns a private zoo in the grounds of his dad’s mega mega-mansion, which was showcased on Channel 4’s World’s Weirdest Homes.
Inside the zoo, Rasheed keeps his own lions, tigers, panthers, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes and bears.
And just to make things worse, they’ve all been given brand names such as Versace and Armani.
What Have People Been Saying on Twitter?
The reaction to World’s Weirdest Homes was not a positive one.
While grand designs such as the fairytale 104 ft treehouse tower in Arizona and manmade life-size sandcastle in Rio De Janiero were looked on favourably, U.K viewers looked at Rasheed’s zoo in disgust.
Many Channel 4 fans vented their anger on Twitter, appalled at the fact this 16-year-old’s zoo was being glamorised on TV.
@Channel4 appalled that you are giving airtime to the boy that has his own Zoo on #worldsweirdesthomes wild animals are not playthings

Made it 10 mins into #WorldsWeirdestHomes on @Channel4 before I was so repulsed by the grotesque wealth I had to switch off . How can there be such poverty when even 1 person in the worlds has such unbelievable wealth ?!! Let alone 2208 billionaires . Sick to my stomach
