Lisa Wilson, the mother of New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson, went live from her Instagram account, where she introduced one of her "beautiful girlfriends."

However, Zach Wilson's mother stopped any immediate speculation from her followers regarding her son's alleged romance with one of her closest friends.

"This is my beautiful friend, Suzette," Lisa Wilson mentioned as she focused on her friend. "For people wondering.... don't. Shut up. I have really good friends and you people are idiots."

During the month of July, the Jets quarterback was involved in an alleged affair with older women.

Wilson's ex-girlfriend, Abbey Gile, mentioned that Wilson slept with her mother's best friend.

Who started the Zach Wilson scandal?

It all started when Abbey Gile began dating Washington Commanders WR Dax Milne after breaking up with Wilson in January.

Milne and Wilson were college roommates and best friends.

Because of the situation, one of the users called Gile a 'homie hopper,' someone who immediately starts dating his ex-partner's friend.

Gile retaliated by claiming that Wilson was the "real homie hopper" because he was sleeping with his mother's best friend.

"[Wilson] was sleeping with his mom's best friend...that's the real homie hopper," the former girlfriend of the Wilson wrote.

Since that comment that overflowed social media, Abbey Gile shut down her Instagram account.

Zach Wilson's silence

After avoiding making a big deal out of his alleged affair with his mother's best friend, Wilson posted his comeback on social media last week.

The New York Jets quarterback posted photos of a trip to Idaho on social media.

Wilson, along with teammates Braxton Berrios, Joe Flacco, Garrett Wilson, Trevon Wesco, Jeff Smith, Elijah Moore and CJ Uzomah, headed to Gozzer Ranch for fitness and outdoor activities.
