As humans, we are a flawed bunch, and in many ways, we can be extremely difficult to love. And for the zodiac signs who are difficult to love, astrology has a way of influencing their relationships.

Our personalities are made up of various traits, as evident by our horoscopes, and these characteristics are the things that make us interesting, annoying, lovable, aggravating, confusing, and surprising. Every single one of us has habits that other people don’t understand and may find irritating. We may even find them irritating but we don’t stop doing them.

True love is acceptance. It’s accepting the fact that things aren’t always going to go smoothly in your relationship or that your partner will sometimes make you angry, annoy the hell out of you, or disgust you. But you accept them and either try to find a way to deal with their quirks or you learn to ignore them because you know you do your own weird things.

Sometimes our partners are too needy... or maybe they aren’t needy enough. When you’re not feeling as if you’re getting what you need in the relationship, you have to communicate with your partner. Sometimes they’re receptive but other times they’re not.

When your partner is difficult to love, for whatever reason, you need to decide if it’s a dealbreaker. Maybe you’re okay with their behavior now, but will you be 5 years down the line? If they never communicate how they’re feeling and you express every emotion you have, what can you do to help the situation? If there’s nothing you can do, will your relationship be able to continue to grow?

ARIES (March 21 - April 19)

You feel (sometimes) that you need to remind him of your presence in his life. He makes reckless plans without you and then is shocked that you're offended. You know he loves you passionately, but could he consider what you might want occasionally?

When you tell him directly what you want, he's happy to oblige, you just wish that he'd put you on the top of his list, not somewhere in the middle.

TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)

He can be very self-centered and stubborn. Taurus isn't like Aries who forgets that there are two people in a relationship, but sometimes Taurus doesn't care enough to put you first.

He can be selfish and only see his needs as being important. It's wonderful if what he wants coincides with what you want, but if it doesn't, you're out of luck. He never gives in just to make you happy, and compromise isn't his strong point.

GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)

He procrastinates to such an extreme that it feels as if nothing gets done. You don't know if you trust him to actually finish something you asked him to do. You don't want to micromanage him, but if you don't, you'll probably end up doing it yourself.

You wish he would magically become more reliable but it doesn't look like that's going to happen anytime soon.

CANCER (June 21 - July 22)

You love that he loves you so much, but does he have to be so needy? He sometimes acts as if you control if he's going to be in a good mood or a bad one. You don't want that much responsibility, but he behaves as if you control the universe. It's just too much pressure.

You want him to be happy, period, not have it contingent on something you did or didn't do. He comes off too needy and you'd prefer it if he were a little more emotionally independent.

LEO (July 23 - August 22)

He can be incredibly arrogant and judgmental. He's great and you know it, you just wish he wouldn't feel as if he needed to prove it to you all the time. You get it. He's smart, he's attractive, and he has a charm like nobody's business.

He shouldn't need you to compliment him all the time in order to feel worthy of you. When he doesn't get the attention he needs from you, he gets sulky, and that can get annoying fast.

VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)

His attention to detail and doing everything perfectly is exhausting. Sometimes you feel as if he's being overly critical not only with himself but with you too. You're fully aware of your flaws and fails, you don't need him to be overcritical.

Sometimes it's good to look at the big picture and not get lost in the tiny unimportant details, but he doesn't seem able to comprehend this. No one likes a fault-finding partner.

LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)

You wish that if he felt something, he'd just say it, instead of keeping it to himself until he can't any longer and having it explode out. You get that he doesn't want to hurt you and that he wants to avoid conflict, but not talking about negative feelings doesn't get rid of them, it just postpones them.

He could work on being more honest overall too because you don't count being deceptive as one of his strong points.

SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)

He's difficult to love when he's rude. You know he's not a bad person, but sometimes, this side of him comes out and it's not cool. He can be overly sarcastic, snotty, and rude to friends, family, and strangers. It's like a switch gets turned and suddenly another side of him emerges — and it's not a side you find very attractive.

You know it's just hiding his vulnerability and sensitivity, but you'd love it if he could find a way to protect himself without being mean.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)

You find him difficult to deal with when he won't take anything seriously. It's wonderful that he has such a great sense of humor and can make you laugh, but there are some topics that aren't funny and situations that are actually made worse with humor.

If you're having a crisis and he's making jokes, it's damaging. You hope that he'll eventually grow up and become more responsible regarding his actions, but so far, no sign of any maturity.

CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)

There are times when he can be a real downer. When he's so pessimistic, it's not attractive. You have to expend all this energy as a human mood-lifter and it's exhausting.

AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)

There are times when no matter how close you are to him, it still feels as if he has a big wall up. You get it that he's not comfortable expressing his emotions, but it still makes you feel as if he doesn't trust you or love you enough.

If only he'd open up a little, he could see how freeing it actually is, and maybe over time, stop being scared of showing you his true self. Instead of him expressing his vulnerability, you get shut out.

PISCES (February 19 - March 20)

You sometimes find him difficult to love when he takes everything too personally. So he didn't get asked to that party, or he lost an art contest. Sometimes things happen that have nothing to do with us.

He doesn't seem to have that "brush off" gene and will over-analyze any perceived slight to death. He can be a little over-dramatic and it's not your job to hold his hand as if he was a toddler and guide him through his life.
