Zoe Johnston-Hadaway's Softball Recruiting Profile
Emily Baldwin Personal Statement
I have played softball since I was five years old and always had a sincere love for the game. It is my passion. My dream has always been to attend college to become a veterinarian and play softball at the highest collegiate level possible. I am a hard-worker who is a dedicated team player committed to always doing my best on and off the field. In 8th grade I graduated from a dual immersion school where I was taught 70% of my academic subjects in Spanish. I am fluent in both English and Spanish and I maintain a 4.0 grade point average in all advanced classes. In 8th grade I received the Youth Citizenship Award for my school, Outstanding P.E./Fitness Award, Math Award, and Culinary Arts Award. I played JV softball for my feeder high school team, Flowery Branch High, and received the Best Defensive Player Award for my defense behind the plate. I have played as a Varsity High School Catcher since my Freshman year receiving awards for Most Valuable Player and Best Defensive Player two years in a row. I am also a Scholar Athlete and have been chosen for 1st and 2nd All-Region Team in 2019 and 2020, respectively. I love being a catcher. I believe in having high moral standards and being a leader and positive role model to those around me. I enjoy volunteering my time in the community working at my local animal shelters and humane society and raising money for Relay for Life to find a cure for cancer. In addition, I participated in Cross Country and Soccer at the school level. I was the Secretary of Student Council at my school and an active member and group leader of FCA. Finally, I believe in challenging myself to be the best I can be in all that I do. I will work hard for any college that recruits me and continue to uphold the high standards that I set for myself to make my coaches, my team, and my parents proud.
